I am serving my current employer for past 4 years. 3 years ago, I got admission in part time Masters in Engineering course in an reputed engg college (IIT). My employer then forced me to sign a Service Bond for 6 years. I had no option, but to sign it. My employer in return gave me few leaves needed for my exams, hardly 2 days a semester. As my course is over, I got offer from a better company and I am planning to leave, but only after 1 month of Notice Period, strictly obeying the rules.
As per my bond, I have 3 years more to be served. In this scenario, can my current employer with held my release letter? If he does so, what to do.

It is indeed debatable whether a bond for 6 years is legal?
But having signed something which has bound you legally, you have placed yourself in difficult position.
Legal remedies are there but time consuming.
Does your new company want the release letter of earlier employer?

Dear all,
One xyz company is established for 13 years , but no HR department with. Most of the HR related data is not maintain, salary sheet too is not as per the Minimum Wages..........no leaves data nothing on place. but After hiring one person in HR, they want to , rush & do all the HR work fast . There is no leverage for time , evening the HR leaves late due to heavy work with RECRUITMENT/HIRING/COMPLAINCES/LEGAL/ATTENDANCE LEAVE MANAGEMENT/DAY TO DAY ONLINE WORK RELATED TO PF/ESIC......................Joining formaliteis, salary sheet , salary structure..........etc. the working person (hr) is fedup. Seconadly the employer do not give leverage to come late as the HR leaves late due to work, & said nor will be giving An assistant.
Is this right taking this kindly of advantage from the hard working Employee (HR).

The employee has to tactfully tell employer to increase number of staff in HR.
Show them the workload and delays due to this and lack of legal compliances.
If employer is not ready to listen, start looking around for alternative jobs.
Too much of strain can result in ill health and mistakes.
If mistake occurs again HR will be hauled up and no one will support or admit that it is due to workload.
Be very alert and put in a clear request with justification for additional staff.

Dear sir ,
Thanks for the valuable update, on above thread.
But very clearly he said, he wont be increasing the employee in HR.
& said after shifting to the new place he will ask to recruit more in HR DPT, but at present the employer should hire some one more to smooth working, for which he is not agreeing.
Thankyou.
