Hello,
Please let me know how much should be the maternity leave for the women employees for the company which is a proprietorship?
Also I want to know if an employee's performance is not found satisfactory even after been put in PIP (Performance improvement Program) does he/ she gets terminated directly or is allowed to serve further notice? And what is the payout like, does the employee gets salary for the consecutive month in case of termination.

The coverage and quantum of maternity leave as per the MB Act 1961 remains the same irrespective of the nature of the establishment one works, be it proprietorship, or partnership, or a cooperative or a company incorporated. As regards the admissible benefits under the Act, pl search on MB benefits in this forum.
As regards your query on the notice period for poor performance in spite of being put in PIP, you have the option, either to terminate straight away or await the notice period after giving clear orders to this effect.
