Dear friends,
TRAI has put a ceiling of advertisements of 12 minutes in TV channels in every clock hour. No new advertisement will begin before expiry of 15 minutes (30 minutes in case of a movie) from end of last advt. There will be no part screen or drop-down ads. Further, audio level of the ad shall not be higher than audio level of the programme. While the viewers will welcome this move, broadcasters may not like this since it may affect their income.
Copy of regulations issued on 14.5.2012 in this regard is attached for information.
Thanks
From India, Malappuram
