The best system is payment of proportionate holidays.
Salary of Employee - 26000/- Per Month
Total No of Days in a month - 30
Sundays falling in that particular month - 4
No of Working Days - 30 - 4 = 26
No of Days the employee has worked in that month - 22
Salary (Before any deduction) Payable to employee = 26000 / (30-4) x 22 = 22000/-
This system is beneficial to both employee as well as employer. The employee does not looses his proportionate sunday if he has worked for just only 3 days in any week. He will be getting proportionate holiday.
This system is hazel free and there is ease of calculation. There is no dispute between an employee and an employer on issue of weekly off at any time during the service tenure of employee.
We are adopting this system of salary payment since inception in May 2011. Our employee strength is 135.
