Dear All,
I recently signed a bond with a company. The bond says I cannot apply to any institute or company while working here.If I wish to then I must give 1 month notice to them and then might apply in that notice period.I want to take CAT this year. How can i deal with this. Also,I have no other option but to take the job as I am not getting any offer from many months and my gap period is increasing.
Please help.
Thanks

The bond is not applicable to CAT anyway. No bond can stop anyone from acquiring higher skills in his/her field of choice. Kindly put up the wordings of the bond for other learned members to advice.

Thanks Sir,but problem is after taking CAT,I must have to apply to institutes as they(best ones) have deadlines and without admission confirmation how can I resign my job or let them know that I am applying to XYZ institute and take this as notice period.I am also afraid if in case I just pay them the bond amount and resign but then I won't be getting the experience/relieving letter. Also,I don't have the exact wordings of bond right now.But my HR clearly told me that I cannot apply to anywhere without giving notice period, after I asked her before signing the bond. Please advise.

The bond is illegal since it is a violation of fundamental rights and such bonds have been declared illegal by various courts

Dear sir,
You already have signed bond and subsequently decided to appear in CAT and do all those things required for admission with full knowledge that terms of said bond is applicable . Yes , employer will certainly sue you for bond money and damages.
