My wife works with a bank and following issue is pending from last 3 months: 1. Problem with leave allocation in the system for her. no leaves are allocated due to system problem and hence salary is deducted. not resolved from last 8 months 2. Boss not approving leaves post her request for transfer (from one city to other city due to marriage). Birthday leaves are to be mandatory approved as per company policy that too is not approved. He has kept the the leave approval pending or rejects all time even when asked prior 3. Transfer request done in January still no written communication from HR on the update of same just verbal communication that we are working on it. Now she plans to resign and do not intend to serve notice period which is of 3 months. Please guide what are possible way to take it ahead.

Resigning without notice period will only create a situation where FNF will be further delayed.
Relieving documents will not be forthcoming.
If you are planning for working again then these issues will be problematic.
Instead first approach higher management of bank with proof of these issues and in writing.
Refer the policy of bank in your written communications.
Is your wife only facing problem of leave and salary deduction due to system problem?
What about other employees facing similar problem?
Speak to them also and ask them how they are tackling the issue.
Do not take hasty decision to resign.
No one will take over her duties and that can cause problems.
Duties I presume are financial in nature and just leaving them is dangerous.

the system is handled by 3rd party and after appraisal last year she has been raising issue and every month 2 holiday was added to her account . last 3 months it has stopped. She has been escalting at Regional level but of no help just a reply that we are working on it. Reporting at higher level may create problem. Secondly the boss is not approving her leave .Even the bday leave which is as per policy employee right. the first HR told transfer will be done by 1st week of April. And therafter 3 HR has changed. If this was known she would have resigned that time. We are recently married in Dec and it makes no point living separately in 2 different cities. Is there other way out like medical leave or conditions on which she can be immeditely relieved

See reporting at higher level may create problem, but you have to take a risk.
Refer HR policy for exits.
Remember one thing try and leave in friendly manner.
Today hurried exit should not be the cause of problem when she wants a job later on.
Software glitch may be affecting all employees.
So wait and see results.
Do things in proper thought out fashion and not just absconding.

Hello Awanish Kumar,
Like Nathrao mentioned, suggest ask your wife to check with other employees IF they are having similar problems of leave allocation.
Pl note that IF this is a System error/problem, Computers DON'T discriminate. Everyone ought to be facing the same problem. IF it's your wife who alone is facing this issue AND is being told that it's a Computer problem......you can be sure she's being fed some 'crap'.
This was a routine response years ago......when computerization wasn't very common [no one understood the limitations of systems & processes being computerized & just believed when given this ruse].
But going by what you have mentioned, it very likely that the ACTUAL reason(s) are different & she not being granted any leaves are just a manifestation of THAT/THOSE reason(s). I think there's more that COULD/WOULD have happened in the background--some of which may NOT have been in your wife's control & some which MAY have been. You need to go back further into her working career in this Bank to ascertain, before you can even think of possible solutions/actions.
You haven't mentioned since when is she working in this Bank? Presuming she was working here even before your marriage, was there any issue/problem while granting her marriage leave or other leaves earlier?
As far as resigning is concerned, it's your wife's prerogative. BUT suggest desist from leaving in a huff without serving the Notice Period. Such steps have high chances of getting back later to effect her career adversely. Let her serve the Notice Period, collect the Relieving Docs & ONLY then move-on.
All the Best.

Please let me know if she is an officer or a clerk of a private bank or a Naionalised Bank. System updation of leave has nothing to do with Transfer request. Leave record will be updated subsequent to transfer. System will not deduct salary until and unless advised by the branch to the Salary section. Further leave can be granted manually as a manual leave record is required to be maintained as the system is not yet perfected. Please take up the matter with the Union/Association. Regarding transfer, please follow up at HO and take the help of Association/Union.
