The New OD interventions are:
QUALITY CIRCLES:
Quality circles are groups of people who meet ususally once a week to discuss qualityproblems and issues.
quality circles identify specific ways to improve quality and set up plans to accomplish these ideas.
In some cases, they have the authority to enact the plan themselves; in other cases, they have to take the plan to a steering committee that has the authority to approve the plan
Usually when a quality circle is set up, it is done with a supervisor and some or all of his/ her direct reporting members.
The manager, if not the entire group is given training in quality control oncepts such as statistical process control, group dynamics, communication skills and the like....
