I have been working as HR Generalist for 2 yrs now. I am not able to crack Job Interviews in other companies while Interview. Plz suggest me some sites or online courses sites for learning more about HR for Job change. Plz help as I am lacking with proper guidance.
Hi Honey Mittal,
Most Interviewer will ask questions from your resume or from the answers you give. You don't need to worry for not cracking interviews. You have mentioned that you play a generalist role in your present company. You have to measure in which areas are you strong enough. Be it Comp & Ben, Hiring, Employee Engagement, etc. Having 2 years of experience you cannot comment that you are strong in the entire gamut of HR. You shall also search CiteHR for interview questions.
Just don't read the materials and try to understand why a question is asked. See you need to spend at least 2 months to prepare your self for an interview, be it logical or HR based. Generally HR would be assessed on people management, multi tasking, logical, problem solving, communication, adaptability, analytical skills, etc. Try to do a self assessment on how good are you at these areas. Believe in yourself and you would surely succeed. Good luck!
