The employee taken leave from friday till tuesday. He applies leaves as
1) Friday Casual leave as he have one casual leave balance and
2)Monday as Earned / Privileged Leave.
Is this acceptable ? Is that the way correct ? or All the 5 days has to be considered as Earned Leave?

Hi
Do you have any leave policy for the organisaion? If it is there then you can follow as per the policy.
If not then any continuous cannot be splitted as CL as well as EL.
Once again few companies follows Friday to Tuesday as 4 EL(If only Sunday is off else 3 EL) as week offs are exempted but still you can consider as 5days EL

Yes, we have two week off (Sat and Sun). In case of EL both should be considered as per company policy. As you said it will be 5 EL. My doubt was, can we split leaves or not .Thank you Jeevarathnam. I got it ! :- )

In Government service, this is not permissible. EL could be prefixed or suffixed by holidays, but not casual leave, which is treated as duty.
