Dear Sir,
I am working as HR- Manager in one of the Leading Engineering Design Consultancy Company.
Our 50+ Engineers are placed in various MNC companies for onsite Project in CAD CAM CAE.
My 5 People are working in one MNC, their educations are DME & ITI Draftsman.
Their daily works is only converting existing drawings in CAD format in AutoCAD.
I would like to know under which category these employee stands Skilled OR Semiskilled ?
My Client/Principle Employer forcefully asking me to be place this engineer in Skilled category.
& Pay PF on Basic+DA 7800+1624.
Please help to resolve this issue.

Dear Prashant,
The qualified engineers with diploma or engineers are covered by skilled and highly skilled respective by virtue of their competency in the field employed either by principal employer or clients. They are eligible wages in terms of Minimum Rates of Wages as applicable to the Engineering Industries in the State. Please refer the recent rates of wages. If you are paying over and above than minimum rates specified you are welcome. But should not be the below the rates of minimum wages.

The job these people are doing is definitely not a semi-skilled job. As per nature of job assigned to them and their qualification, they deserve the wage of skilled or highly skilled category.

I want to know whether my Client(Principle Employer) have rights to check my compliance and ask for the short payments in the compliance ?
