Hi Folks, I am currently working in a software company from Dec 2010. I was paid very low per month since my joining and I got only 1000 as increment for every year till now. Also, I don't know about the minimum salary fixed by the government of TamilNadu. As of now, I am having a total 3.6 years of experience but I am getting only 6500 PM.
Can anyone help me with this, please lemme know the minimum salary fixed by the Indian government for the private employees.
Thanks in advance

Hi I believe the minimum wages in Tamil Nadu will be as around 6000/-. Once again it depends on the work profile too.

Are you working in software development or in some other profile ?
If you are working in programing, then the salary you are getting is surprisingly low.
Please give further details of your job, skillset and position
However, to answer your direct question - State Government issues a notification every 6 months giving the amount of minimum wages payable for each zone (4 zones in TN), Skill Category and Industry. You need to look at the latest notification and identify the relevant salary levels.
Please remember that the notification talks only in terms of Basic + DA. So your Basic + Da in your salary must be above the minimum limit specified in the notification. If you have other allowances in your salary, they are not to be counted for this purpose.
