Dear Sir(s),

Education qualification MBA(HR). I'm working for 1 year 2 months in a reputed Engineering company as Secretary of CE(P). This is my first job and i have learned so many things from here. But recently i'm not getting job satisfaction even not able to concentrate because if i have to do same things what i have done last one year, how i able to develop my career/ myself. Here i just joined for improvement of myself so i did't care about my salary structure (salary structure is very low).

Now coming my point, recently I have got a chance another job ( in HITACHI company). They basically deal with customers and i have to do the same. So, i would like to know whether i should join here or not. Kindly guide me. Yours guidance/suggestion help me a lot because there is nobody around me who will guide me.

( One more thing my english communication is not very good, may be, for that i'm not being able to get better job). Please forgive me if you get trouble to understand my points.

I am looking forward for yours response.

Dear Sahelly,

To start with, rest assured that your written English is good. Keep working on the spoken part and by shunning the apprehensions soon you'll get the hang of it.

Now lets get to the issue of discontentment with your job that you have mentioned here. You need to do some self counselling on the front. Get it sorted as to why you are finding it difficult to give your best to the job. Is this solely because of the monotony of the job or is it because now you know that your monetary issues are not addressed well here? As far as monotony is considered, it is too early for you to decide on quitting the job. You need to do a reality check on your present designation and its prospects. You should know that the job of a secretary is mostly redundant though all the very important at the same time and that job enrichment or a promotion are unlikely to be seen before a good 3 years on the same position.

If you want to switch to Hitachi; go for it! But I would recommend doing a thorough research for what they are offering in terms of experience and prospect prior to your joining.

Sajalji ,
Thanks for your response and really very happy to know that I'm being improved in written english. And also trying to improve in speaking english too. I got your points. Sajal ji where i have got chance for job they basically Dealer so far i know. Actually i would like to join here for improvement of my communication (here have to speak either english or hindi). One more thing they would not give any letter now, telling me that when you resign from our office we'll provide you letter. I got this job through reference. Frankly telling you at present job most of the time I've to type or other miscellanious (like personal tasks etc.) . Now suggest me what should i do

Dear Sahelly,

Of what i get from your reply, you presently do the back desk job and thus you are not given considerate chances to interact with persons. You seem to be having a crave to work on your presentation. This brings you to the job at Hitachi which will bring your persona to the front and allow you to be prepared for encounters where you will have to pitch sales or do promotional activities on behalf of the very dealer. Please take into consideration the difference in the two arenas and then decide.

Suggesting on this, I would dote into your judgement of joining Hitachi as they are probably paying you better and also allowing you a chance to showcase and improvise on your communication skills. Go join it if that suits you!

I would like to bring it to your notice that the present employer has apparently been kind to you and treated you well. So, don't leave the firm in a whiff. You must look into you employment contract form about the exit clauses. If it is required to post a notice to them 2 months/1 month prior to your separation with the firm, do the needful. Also, draft a letter to Hitachi mentioning the proceeding of your resignation at your present workplace and your probable date of relieving.

Wishing you a good association with next firm. All the luck!

Sir I did not understand last two points please. Sir you have understood where is my problem. Kindly help me here when they're saying that they shall not provide joining letter/appointment letter, should i join there and after gathering experience from HITACHI I will get job to another company. After your response I would take final decision. Actually I never never can take any decision quickly.

Dear Sahelly,
All I meant to say is that you should understand that the profile in Hitachi is completely different from what you have been doing all this while. If you want to join Hitachi, please inform your present employer and write to them your resignation. Request them to issue you a relieving letter as soon as possible. Meanwhile you should also inform the authority at Hitachi that you have already resigned and should be available to join soon. There should not be any problems therewith.
