Could you please suggest me some daily productivity report format for our employees.I want to know clearly how the employees send their reports daily in that format and how it is useful for me to prepare consolidated report to my superior

Dear Madhu
Are you an HR ??
Generally an HR is not required to get into the daily productivity reports of employees.
There are Supervisors and Junior/Astt Managers and Senior Managers who are concerned with the Production and Productivity.
What is the size of your Organization and what is your job-role ??
If you are an HR or a Manger yourself; then you can ask your direct reportees/subordinate for such reports.
It is advisable to give more information to enable members to give pertinent suggestions.
Warm regards.

Greetings Madhu Salu,

In my opinion if you seek a daily productivity report from employees in the office it could be quite monotonous for them. For example Preparation of letters, responding to e - mails, Time spent on telephonic conversations, Time spent with colleagues to discuss on official matters etc., Over a period of time they will merely fill up formats for the sake of it.

Instead you can advise the respective department superiors to conduct a Daily Work Management review, wherein the tasks assigned for the previous day with time frames are reviewed for 10 - 15 minutes every day at the start of the shift and the time taken to complete the tasks are assessed.

The superiors can also educate employees on the important tasks and the manner in which it has to be prioritized. In some instances we observe that the most important tasks are not attended owing to various factors such as complexity, risk involved etc., Hence, this approach may be appreciated by the employees as they will see that their performance is reviewed on a daily basis and monitored against mutually accepted target time.

Madhu shalu, Commonly, HR has the ability to form a daily report with valuable components. Then why don’t you? Try it yourself. Don’t ask for little things.
