i was working in a company for the period of 1st may 2010 to 7th march 2013. i got salary on 7th and i resigned from the job from next day. the company is giving bonus to employees as those below 10000/month are getting one month salary as bonus. and those who are above 10000/month are getting 9999.00 as bonus. bonus is calculated on how many days you have worked for the company for the financial year. in this case it is april 2012 to march 2013.
please tell me how much bonus i will be getting as per law (in india). also will be getting the payment for the last 7 days i have worked there for the month of march.

Dear Sandeep Thorat,
How much is your salary? If it is up to Rs. 10,000 you are eligible for bonus as per the Act. If it is beyond Rs. 10,000 you are not eligible. Management may pay in lieu of bonus which is called day. It may be as per their wish or based on the agreements with the representative bodies.
