i have worked for a consultancy for almost one year and now i would like to apply for the companies as a recruiter to enhance my skills... Now my query is that whether there will be any change in the work or will it be the same as in the consultancy....?

Dear Nandy,
As an activity it is the same, but what will differ is the pursuit of profiles will differ.
In a consultancy you will go after profiles of various skills as you have a number of request probably from a number of clients, (like a buffet), where as in an organization it be purely based on the skills that the company would want to use to deliver what is expected of them (like home cooked food).
I can't get simpler than this.

hi raman, one more thing... in consultancy there will be the billing rate for the recruiter. Then what about in company,will it be the same or will there be any other mode...

Dear Nandy,

Now a days you always start your career with recruitment consultancy it is gonna be first step for most of the HR professional

in my personal view recruitment with consultancy is good exposure you do 365% degree recruitment not with particular sectors then its more relevant experience when you join any particular sectors company so deff you have to recruit for them only by the way recruitment of any sectors give same experience to you the difference will be time consuming point for final section of recruiting person in a company you will be closer to Hiring manager so you would know that particular person will be hired or not with recruitment consultancy it takes time & its long follow up process most of the company hire those employees who has better recruitment exposure that always comes with consultancy now a days & even in some years company making HR - recruitment profile in their companies for hiring only they don't have to do anything else & even with FDI policy it will be in demand & ill be in boom for more 10 years.

My apology for not asking clearly.My query is that...
Every consultancy will charge some amount for one new joinee to the client based on the CTC they offer to the employee and that charge will be some percentage (like 7% 8%..). and we call it as billing and this amount will be given to our consultancy by the client.
But in the organzations, the recruiter will recruit people for their own organisation,and in that case will there be any percentage will be given to the recruiter for completing the positions...

Dear Nandy,
Working with company exposure is bigger then consultancy, consultancy earns money from recruitment only that is their area of business & out of profile they give incentives to recruiter but with company you get real HR job whole generalist profile here company's area if business is not recruitment they work on different business, only contributor in getting monetary firm always gets incentive
you ill find in any company marketing team gets incentive same as in any consultancy recruiter gets incentive but working with company
yournot contributing in monetary form they wont pay you any incentive you will earn fixed salary.
As a recruiter you selling a job to a person. recruitment is talent & somehow marketing & sales how you source 10 candidates & hire only one the best. you sell him job.
