Dear All,
I am working with Small Software Firm, being only in HR dept ,i am single point of contact to employees.
My employer does not give salary on time,as per policy salary must be credited till 6th of every month but due to funds issues employer provides salary in two slots.
employees - below -40k gross -1 slot and
employees 0 above 40 k second slot
Employees somehow accepted this.
But now they are even delaying first slot salary, whenever i ask them they say we dnt have sufficient funds.
Being HR i am not getting how to handle employees in this situation.Everyone works for money and have their commitments.
Employer donot want to do anything for employee and want me to retain them and maintain discipline among employee.
please suggest.

It is tough situation, You will need to explain this to the management, that if any employee approaches the court, then the company may have to close down. So salary payment on time is a must. On the other hand if there is a genuine problem that the organisation is facing, due to which there is a financial crises, explain the same to the employees and be open. Support the management and also the staff.

Thanks Ashutosh for your revert!!!
Thing is I already discussed with Mgmt, they always do false commitments to employees and in this situation it bcome difficult for me to handle employees.
When i asked for employees salary they said we are facing issues.Neither they discussed issues with me nor they want me to disclose it to employees.
