Dear Vasudee,
You seems fresher form your post given above.
Well, Some portals are free for candidate but not for employer. and It is not only platform to search candidate.
You need to see local newspaper for new employment.
One other way is that contact to local job placement consultancy. they charged from employer not from candidate. so contact them and ask whether there is any suitable requirement according to your job profile.
Keep in touch with your seniors and other class friends who are doing job. Keep update your self with latest knowledge and technology respect to your educational domains.
Make your resume effective so recruiter can impress through your resume and call for personal interview.

Hi Vasudeee,
My only advice is not to limit yourself to various portals.
Use newspapers, trade magazines,journals etc.
Network, Network, Network as much as you can, there is no substitute for face to face contact to sell yourself.
Put the word out to friends, family and neighbors, in fact to anyone who will listen. Don't be shy !!
Finally send your resume directly to employers, whether they have advertised vacancies or not.
(There IS something called the Un-advertised Job Market !!)
A word of caution though:
When you send your resume it should reflect the organisation that you are applying to.
You MUST research the organisation and tweak your resume accordingly.
A common mistake that job-hunters make is to send a standard resume to all.
By tweaking your resume you be seen to be a good fit.
Your resume should be no longer than two pages, should contain ZERO errors and very good grammar and language, NO slang or abbreviated words.
Follow the above and be amazed at the calls for interview.
But it does not end there, in fact the call to interview is the START.
Be prepared for the interview:
Research the company, the internet allows you to do this easily.
Find out everything about the company, the industry, their markets and their competition.
Let the interviewer know, that YOU know.
Be well dressed (conservatively).
Be on time.
Maintain eye contact.
Any good interviewer will end by asking if you have any questions; make sure you do have at least two, but NEVER about Pay, Holidays etc.
Be professional , your mind set should be "I OWN THIS JOB, IT IS MINE"
Hope the above helps,
Regards,
Harsh
