Thanks alot for very important information. I am Not clear as to whether it is applicable for PPF accounts maintained with Post offices/ commercial banks .Will any body face difficulty in getting money,after it gets matured, without Adhar card number? Please clarify.

Please find attached the notification dated:21-1-2013 from EPFO regarding Aadhaar card,
which is mandatory in all circumstance. However, as per today’s Deccan Chronicle EPFO mentioned
that the mandatory submission of Aadhaar may put “in Abeyance”

That’s right. EPFO is putting the Aadhaar circular in abeyance. This was there in Bangalore newspapers too.

Though it is good for all concerned, but since it will take time to implement fully, the EPFO has asked for Enrollment ID to be issued and mentioned by the employers till issue of Aadhar Card.
Thus there is nothing to worry for the new employees, rather in turn, it will be a secured method for tracing out of their PF account in case of need beside having a regular follow up of their PF account.
