Dear All,
I am working as Manager, HR in a switch gear company.
Just now, we received a call from our Service Engineer who is now taking care at Tiroda site (in Maharastra State) of our customer.
He took two technicians along with him at the site. He is saying that the HR Manager of that company is asking for Workmen Compensation policy for these two technician who are already covered under ESIC.
The HR Manager of the company is saying that ESIC is not applicable there because there is not any ESI Dispensary situated with in 25 kilometer radius.
Please advice.
Regards

Dear Ravindra,
Important consideration is that how long those two technicians are going to be deployed at your client's site.
In case its a visit for 2/3 days, then you may manage with ESIC cover for your employees but in case they shall be constantly deployed there, please arrange to cover those guys under WC.

The previous benefits will be provided untill it's changed to the other benefits, hence, what ever it may be, the original benefits which were applicable to them are applicable temporarily/time being and later it shall be changed accordingly.......
