Hi Mr. Faruk,
Apart from this amendment there are various other amendments that have taken place in the ESIC Act.
For e.g. The dependent's age is increased to 25 years of age, apart from this Disablement Benefit would now cover Benefits related to commuting to place of work, Using Employer's Transport etc.
The act is readilly available on esic.nic.in
I have also attached a copy of the act for your reference.

also Amandment of Rs. 10,000/- financial benefits for;
- Funeral Expenses : An amount of Rs.10,000/- is payable to the dependents or to the person who performs last rites from day one of entering insurable employment.

Only Gujarat State. Many states have already this provision. IN Gujarat it was applicable to units employing 20 or more employees now with this notification the number has been brought down to 10. I am trying to get figures from ESIC on their estimates on number of beneficiaries due to this change. Today I talked to some of them and they said they have no information but one of them has promised me to help with it.
