Dear Seniors,
Can any PF Inspector do inspection? when we are working in their Area's, but we are covered from different area.
For Example: If we are covered from RPFC Mumbai, and working on projects in Delhi. Then Delhi PF inspector have the right to check our records and do inspection? What's the right of PF Inspector while he is doing inspection for different area's unit or company?
Thanks & Regards

Dear Sunil
The PF Inspector of your work area is having the right to conduct inspection in your premises eventhough you are covered at different area PF Commissionerate. He will call for the Payment made to the Sub-contractors details from your accounts and with that he will check the PF Remittance details. If the subcontractor is purely a labour supplier then 75 to 80% amount will be taken into consideration for remittance of PF. If the subcontractor is undertaken the work with materials then he will consider 30% of the bill amount as Labour Payment and around 50 to 55% will be for material cost Balance 15 to 20% will be profit for the contractor.
The another way of checking the PF Remittance is he will obtain the Monthly consolidated labour reports (subcontractorwise), and he will verify with the no of workmen and no of days for each workman you have covered the PF. Then he can find out the amount of PF you have less paid.
