hi john,
actually a HR Generalist is no way related to Recruitment & Training coz many of companies are revising their HR activities as three modules namely:
general activities;
Recruitment activities;
training activities.
this can avoid confusion in department works handling.

Hi...
I believe an HR generalist is more in the line of a HR strategist/ HR Planner dealing with career dev strategies, deployment strategies,
planning HR initiatives.
the Employee Relns is the HR operator....
Hope I am correct
