Dear Grace
I have been in the field of Spoken English Language Skill training for more than 7 years as of now. As I have found out that Improve your speaking ability does not depend on the reading of some material. Here are few suggestions what you could adopt so that you can speak English Easily.
1. Read loudly and Clearly every day beginning 5 minutes a day.
2. Listen to any Indian English News Channesl for 5 minutes to begin with.
3. Ask 3 questions: A) What you read and listened B) How much of it are you able to RECALL. c) Are you utilising the material you read and listened?
4. Read Short stories, biographies and paragraphs.
5. Form a group of non-english speaking people and share the stories or biographies or paragraphs. Intially they may laugh but continue till you acquire confidence.
6. Join a TOAST MASTERS CLUB which helps you to speak spontaneously.
Good Luck

Dear All,
What kind of training strategy will you adopt
1)to train workers who has technical knowledge like plumbers, carpenters, painters, electrical/mechanical technicians, who doesn't know English(on larger scale) or let us say those who haven't passed either 8th standard...school drop outs.
2) Most of them are from NON-ENGLISH MEDIUM.
3) How much duration do you need them to learn basic/simple sentences which can be used in our routine life?
4) What material can be used to train them?
With profound regards
