Good effort. But I have doubt. As per the Workmen's (Employees) Compensation Act there is minimum compensation for death Rs 120000 and in case of permanent total disability Rs 140000. Similarly, the salary is subject to a maximum of Rs 8000 and there is provision for calculating compensation on the statutory minimum rates of wages. I think the sheet takes in to account the actual salary and without minimum compensation. Please correct me, if I am wrong.

Dear Javedalam,
Good efforts, one more change is required that if employee has disability in Middle ring finger, middle finger and index finger then the total of this should come in formula that is not taking. Pl. check.

Dear R Parveen Kumar
The changes suggested by Mr. Madhu T. K have already been incorporated in this new (Workmen's Compensation Calculator1 (New).xls. plz check this new file....
Dear Madhukar
"Category of compensation" = in case of Permanent Total Disablement (60%), in case of death it is (50%)just for calculation purpose.
If employee has disability in Middle ring finger, middle finger and index finger then that disablement will not come under Schedule I and will be treated as Permanent Partial Disablement (Not covered under Schedule I) and Doctor will decide %of loss of earnings. And that calculation is also incorporated in 2nd sheet "COMPENSATION PPD BY DOCTOR". Plz check it....
regards
