Dear Friends,
My neighbour works in a Software Company in Chennai. She is a fresher out of college. Her employer claims that they will not provided with any types of leaves for the first 18 months. Only after completing the service of 18 months, the employee will be provided with the leave provision.
So, kindly tell me, for an employee who works in a Software / IT Company, what is the minimum number of leaves given to them in a year?
But according to Indian factories act sec.74, leave with wages column. It is said, every employee should be given one day leave for 20 days worked during the month. So, is the same applicable to even employees who works in the Software / IT Company. Or, are there any act which specifies the minimum number of leaves for an employee. If so, kindly specify the act's reference.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Vidyaa
