I have been working as a manager operations with a big Group who is into healthcare and other Health related business ,recently I have been given an additional responsibility in their Manufacturing division ,I am heading their Marketing Cell .
Next month we will be conducting a sales meet ,inviting all sales & marketing person all across the board .The agenda is to discuss the strategy for new financial year and review of last financial year . The HR is not very proactive .
All of you are requested to suggest apart from discussing this serious business what all we can do in these two days meet .

You can discuss good many things but before that you need to have lot of MIS ready. You can develop MIS on the following lines:
a) product-wise sales, last year Vs this year target Vs actual sales. Is there any lopsided distribution?
b) region-wise sales last year Vs this year target Vs actual sales. Is there any lopsided distribution?
c) sales ratio - (i) product-wise and (ii) region-wise. Is there any lopsided distribution?
d) Who are your close competitors? What is their performance? What is your market share? Where you are strong? Where you are weak?
e) Do you have dealers, distributors or channel partners? What is their performance level?
f) Who are below-average performers? What are the reasons?
g) Now the economy is growing? Which area your sales persons should target? Do you have facts and figures of national economy for this?
h) What will be the new targets? How sales persons plan to achieve this?
i) What is the budget for sales training? How do you plan to use it?
j) What is the budget for product training? How do you plan to use it?
I don't know what products or services do you offer. Still I have come up with these many questions.
May I know meaning of "The HR is not very proactive". Why you say so? What HR has business in sales meeting?
