Hi Bibhuti,
Really a required stuff. Many times I was asked by trainees that is CV different from Resume. I could give them an answer which could not satisfy my ownself. But now gowing through the discussion, I could create the LOC between the two.
Thanks for the initiation.
Keep-up.
Regards,
Deepak

Dear Deepak,
I wonder why you waited so long for someone to copy, save and attach the information that you required. Had you searched the web using the key terms you would have found the answers at CareerMosaicIndia.com - Resume Tips/ Archives

vibhuti has really posted very valuable information...however would like to give the easiest way to undrstand the difference between the two...
CV is a detailed legthy document stating about you whereas resume is short and pithy(of 2 pages at max) and extremely professional...extra statements like strength weakness etc are not accepted. CV is usually used when you go for acadamics or a job after attaining lots of experience whereas Resume is used for the posts like those of managers, etc....hope u r clear about this....if u want me to state specifications let me know..

Vibhuti,
People at webistes are driven towards authentic, new and quality inputs. If there were no responses earlier it is an indication of this. Also to me the inputs are very preachy with many do's, must do, have to etc. and this tends to put off a certain kind of audience.
