Hi Yogesh
Good start.
What I would like to tell is that today's scenario is different than earllier one. Now a days people are changing job within 1yr or so because of lot of opportunity in the market. However it all depends on profile too.

Hi Yogesh,
GOod topic you bring to notice of everybody.
The attrition is high in many industries, so we need to ask this question.
I feel it also depends upon the satisfaction level, if I'm satisfied with Pay Package, conditions, environment, work, people, I don't think I'll leave a company in next 10 years.

Hi yogesh, this is a nice exer. but i feel its ambiguous.....
I would prefer not to change an org. provided it gives an opportunity to learn new things, environment is conducive.... ofcourse pay also matters.

Dear Archana and shiju
your points are valid. Ofcourse given that the environment / pay / boss / profile etc are ok..is what we are taking as standard work conditions.
The issue as rightly pointed out is attrition..it takes time for any employee to begin really contributing to an organisation only after a period of time spent in that organisation...and thus the person grows with the organisation.
You will notice that several CEO / GM / VP are those people who have not changed a single employer...one of the World heads of HSBC international was addressing a gathering of 400+ recruiters recently that today he is at that post becouase he has grown with the company in past 25 years...

Hi Yogesh,
Right, it is always good to grow with the organization growth. Infact when we grow with the organization we definitely have faster & better growth. Infact a person can switch jobs in his early career but my experiences have been that it gets difficult to get a good job later and then he lands up settling with compromises in his job. My point is we say good pay, job satisfaction etc are criterias for switching jobs. But we all will agree that we cant get all the combinations in one job so we at times have to compromise on certain things. If we understand this & then take decisions of job switching our industry shall benefit a lot out of it & we will have a more successfull career.

I feel its all based on the envt & culture of the company.. for me the culture of the company matters.. a kind of we feeling should be there in a company..for me not to leave the company.. and of course profile & pay as per the market standards.. is also there..
all based on how i percieve the envt of the company..

HI GUYS,
I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THIS TOPIC BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE, I CAN STAY FOR LONG TIME IN ONE COMPANY BECAUSE :
1. THE ATMOSPHER OR ENVIRONMENT OF THE COMPANY.
2. TEAM WORK AMONG THE MANAGEMENT AND THE STAFF.
3. THE LAST BUT NOT LEAST OF COURSE SALARY AND BENEFIT

I think there should be another option "Depends on many factors" along with the other options!

Really a very subjective qn.
I was very happy working with a consultancy for 1yr( that was my 1st job)
But i got a break in an UK based Corporate. It was obvious for me to join them. But now it has just being 2 months here n i dnt see things working in my favour.
I am suffocating here.
Wht shud i do
If i decide to look for a change within 3 months it obviously shows instability, which is nt the case . However money is nt the reason for looking out.
Very sa the in HR there is so much struggle in the initial stages.
