Your question is not being answered as many MBA freshers have asked the same question many times on this forum.
I would suggest Please take up whatever comes in your way Recruitment would certainly teach you something, sitting at home wouldn't. While working in a consutancy look for the generalist job profile opportunities. You would be able to justify working in a consutancy at the interview of HR generalist profile.
Thanks

i know after finishing MBA, everyone has a dream to work as a HR Generalist, nothing wrong in this, but its not possible that we wil get what we always dreamed abt it.
(i will be happy if ice fall takes place in Mumbai, but its not possible. Right?)
I am a mba-HR, Fresher (2009 pass out)
just 2 months back i have joined 1 consultancy although i m getting less pay i took the decision of working for SenseHR. Some times i feel that after MBA i deserve much better than this but w cant help it, i cant sit home for a long time, i have to take some action.
Its my advice dont sit at home do something in HR field. n keep on asking questions to senior which will add ur practical knowledge.
I even saw so many hr generalist profiles they has exp of recruiter and after 1-2-3 yrs they started working as a HR generalist.
Guys dont b upset cheer-up
at least start working somewhere..........
b a proud to a MBA-HR (future Manager)

Dear People,
I too would suggest the same.
Sitting at home waiting for the big thing will not get you anywhere. In fact, getting into some decent job will definitely increase your market value as well as your prospects.
Thanks & Regards

Hello Future Managers,
HR??? Whats this all about?
Can anyone tell me what are the functions of a HR manager.from where the process of HR starts....
Is it compensation?
Is it benefits?
Is it Induction?
Is it Industrial relation?
Is it OD?
No Young friends its RECRUITMENTS?
So why not to start from the first step, why to climb so high.
I suppose I need not to say anything more.
For any clarification feel free to Ask.!!!!!!

A very great saying.. 'Something is better than nothing'. Sitting and waiting for something that is not time bound will not aid growth. So you should take up whatever opportunities comes on you way. No experience goes unused. So i suggest you all to go ahead and grab experiences a long as it is related to some or other HR domain.
