Hi, Iam currently working as a HR in one the IT industry.Here i want to raise an issue on Employment Verification.Recently we have recruited a Sr level Person from one of the reputed Finance industry and he is working with us from a couple of weeks. As per our orgnisation policy we have to exercise Background Verification Checks for all levels of the employees entering into the organisation.For the same purpose i have called the concerned Company's HR to provide the details of the concerned employee.But i came to know from her that its against their HR Policy to support / handle Employment Verification Calls.The same was communicated to my Management on this issue, but they are insisting me to get the details at any cost.This is really a diffuicult situation where we are expecting a solution from forum members.How to handle this ?

Please see if you can get the contact details of the employee's boss and the email IDs of HR and the supervisor.
You can try to contact the employee's supervisor and get some details otherwise, you can send an email to the HR department as well as the supervisor and based on their email confirmation, tell your management that they are not verifying the details.
However i think you would have to speak to them and make them understand that if they are not willing to cooperate, then at some point of time they would also face the same situation when they require verification.
