The employee who's salary is more than Rs. 21000, is liable to be the deduction of ESIC according the increase in the threshold limit from 15000 to 21000. Other than hiking the wage ceiling, the ESIC board also allowed employees to continue as members even after their wages cross the Rs.21,000 threshold.

Mr. Rohit Aggarwal ji, I think, coverage under ESI Act is not optional and at present as per gazette notification wage ceiling is Rs.21000/- per month only. There is no option that if desired employees can continue as mentioned by you. I will request you to kindly upload a copy of gazette notification of appropriate government to confirm the point that "the ESIC board also allowed employees to continue as members even after their wages cross the Rs.21,000 threshold" as mentioned by you above so that I may be able to update myself accordingly.
