HI friends, I am a MBA from icfai university in HR specialisation,
I feel that the HR is not good as such, I had to do many additional
readings to hone up my knowledge . Moreover the course is tough
as I have seen personally the level of questioins from IGNOU and can
comment that it is tough. What is specifically neglected in by ICFAI
IS THE INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS SECTION AND ANY REFERENCE TO ILO
I am willing to have comments on my observation from any body
who have already completed the mba course from any university.

Dear Mr Sunil, I am an MBA from ICFAI UNIVERSITY WITH spl in HR.
I feel you should stick to ur books from ur exam and desist from
any outside reading. The ICFAI relies on answers from its own study mat.
Further read the entire material as they can ask you from any place in their books(study materials)

[QUOTE=pvsnr2003;509195]Hi All,
HI Raj, don't think so much advance, first complete ur course which is damn tough.
Moreover as far as i know u will be given placement offer according to ur qualification and experiance. Regarding salary, it depends on the organisation. If u r already is paid higher than industry average (ur company might be having good financial position.) then it would be of no use. And lastly it depends on your power of negotiation.

Hi All,
First of all treat corrspondence course as a value addition to your present job or future prospect jobs. Dont compare it with real time courses which would fetch campus placements at entry level and all when you are already experienced in the industry. No problem in comparing fees and other financial investments required for different university programe but concentrate more in knowing what the subject is and what will be outcome.Even if it is tough work hard and know what it is other than just passing which would provide a braoder vision of the industry which ever you plan to work...

Hi Leena, Thanks for your message and advise. Well can we know something about the MPM University. Which part of pune is it located in. Are you still pursuing the ICFAI course or have you quit.
Well I am also pursuing ICFAI. I had registered for my MBA years back in 2003 and then I was working Abroad. I appeared for 3 groups of exams together but failed and decided to quit the course as I didnt find time to study.
Later when I came back to India late 2008 I decided to pursue my MBA again and appeared for my first exam in April 2009 and since then have cleared Groups A to H without any trouble. In April 2010 I appeared for Group I & J exams and flunked. I am in the process of re-appearing for those two groups in July and hope to get through.
I am just asking for info so I can pass this info on to others who are also seeking to do their MBA. They are many people who seek help so I can suggest them this.
Pls do let me have the info thanks.
Best Wishes, Raja.

Hi Raja,
Good morning!
I am pursuing MPM(Masters in personnel management)from Pune university through IBMR college( Chinchwad). There are various colleges in pune which is affliated to pune university and the total fees structure is just Rs37000/ for two years and if you are continuing with your job you can complete your course through evening batch that is 6to 8 PM which has same importance as regular batch.
If I get time I would update list of college which is affliated to pune university or you check on net.
Best Regards,
Leena.

Hi,
I am a Canadian currently considering pursuing an MBA or Masters in Human Resource Management. My preference at this moment is to accomplish this via distance learning from a reputable university in India. I would sincerely appreciate advice in this regard.
