I agree with Deepak.
His suggestion can be good for all.
And if you have CC Cameras then you can surely track down the person.
You can send a memo to person or can have a discussion with person and give idea of consequences.

hi...
i believe bringing the matter into notice of the management would mean seriouse results against the preson doing it... may be he genuinly feels for her...
quietly go to record room and the into the details and directly point out the person responsible...
dont make it a seriouse issue...

Hi,
Not knowing about a problem is an information issue.
Not confronting a known problem is a serious issue.
Don't wait. Inform the management. If someone has done something wrong let him bear the consequences.
This is just harassment of a women employee and such people should not be spared.

first of all you should try to find out who is it? and method is very simple..
gift dekh kar hi pata lag jayega ki yeh jents ne bheja hai yaa kisi lady ne..
uske baad gift ko past event se relate karke dekho? i think you will get the answer ..... if you still not know abt that ... then one day put a great smile on your face and try to judge who get so much happiness on his/her face......... i think by this activity you will find that gift sender

This is very unique problem i am hearing . person giving gifts to a particular lady without getting noticed for past 10 days.
its really an alarming situation not only for HR but mainly for security dept. as its next to immpossible that a single person can do this kind of things, I am sure there must be somebody else also ( may be a female also or a Male ) along with the culprit who is helping him or her in this . Also this may be another way to mentally disturb the lady employee so that she gets defocussed at her work and commit mistakes in her work which surely will effect her reputation . Hence i think this may be mischeif of some female also who is jealous of this particular employee.
when can somebody keep these gifts 1) early hours of office when no body has reported at office. 2) In the lunch hours when whole of staff moves out to canteen for lunch 3) before closing the office physically. In this situation many people come under the blanket of doubt start from watchmen, sweepers, peons, courierboys reporting late in the office ie after office hours, 2nd shift watchmen, office staff, canteen boy, stationery supplier, xerox boy etc.
certain immediate measures suggested-
1.keep an muster out side the office door in which security will register time and employee will sign.
2.make them wait outside the office untill a group of people is formed and then only let them in together.
3. Dont allow late sittings in office
4. make all the ladies sit in one area of the office and form a seperate room altogether with glass door which can be locked while leaving the office and will be opened only after any of the lady amongst them reports for work . This will indirectly restrict the movement of male members in to this room and hence will solve the problem. i am sure this will solve the problem.

Falling in love or gifting may not be a crime but disturbing office etiquette and decorum is a big crime and above that an unwanted gift to a lady may come in the preview of sexual harassment domain. The person should be immediately given an exemplary punishment. Organizations and society can not be kept healthy if such cheap behaviour is allowed to continue in whatever name. Take it seriously and sack the person even if the gifter is a lady.
