Dear Mehul,
if an employee is availing leave and weekly offs are falling in between the leave period, then the weekly offs will be reckoned as leave. the employee has to mention the same dates in the leave application form as continued leave. in this case, the employee has to mention the dates i.e from friday to monday, as continued leave and can avail leave of any type subject to availability of leave in his leave account. depending on the availability of leave, payment for these days shall be made.
thanks

Am agree with what Mr. Malik has said, since am wrking in IT sector we never consider sat & sun as a part of leaves because in terms & condition of service policy of company under Leave policy & working days policy it clearly mention about 5 or 6 day working.Accordingly the 2 leaves will be debited from employees acct n not 4.

Dear all in my view it is right to deduct 4days leave in his balance. most of the companies are follows this rule according to this rule we are controling the absentisem. he must work either previous day of w/off or preceding day of w/off. suppose sunday is w/off any one has take leave on friday and saturday we can consider two days leave. if he has taken that leave in saturday and monday we can consider as 3days leave.
