Dear you are saying that he had worked almost 01 year in that company and confidently saying that there is no proof that he worked in that company. i am surprised to see this statement.
01. I think he was getting his remuneration through bank transfer. So its self-explanatory for relation of employee and employer between . in other hand if he employee Deny that there were no any relation of employee and employer then he may asked for salary pay back to him for last 01 year and he just give you notice that -
We are agree that you don't have any relation with my company then you are hereby informed to revert the payment which you had received as salary in you so and so account . details for which are given below, and he may give you all details of payment in letter then what will you do ?
02. there would be biometric attendance system in company and your all attendance for said period will be with company . so saying for not relation with company is not appropriate.
03. there would be CCTV where you would have captured in several moments , so its also a proof of your relation with company .
04. there would be lot of formats where you would had done your signature as company representative , it is proof for your relation with company .
05. if you were member of epf , then your contribution for that period would have deposit by that company , which says about your relations with company .
06. might be you would have the member of ESIC. Same as in epf your relation with company prove here also.
so its better to resolve the matter by diplomatically and request the company about your financial conditions rather then other .

Some of the points you have mentioned are true, we will consider those points also.

He tried to resolve the matter and discussed with the CEO but he is not ready to resolve.

He has already apologized for his mistake.

If his employer has not given any appointment letter and if he has not signed any contract, his employer cannot do anything legally or take any legal action against him.
