If the workman is covered under Employee compensation Act, no compensation is payable since it is a natural death and not an accident. However, compensation is payable if the cause of death can be proved to be the stress/strain casused due to the nature of work carried out by him.

Under Employee compensation Act, compensation is payable only for the accident occurred during the course of the employment. In this case death is not occurred due to accident and hence no compensation is payable. Under Employee Compensation Act there is no provision to pay compensation for natural death.

Yes as all said he covers under Employee Compensation Act. Employer needs to pay compensation on his earning capacity basis if he is not covered under ESI. Else he will get all death benefits
