A very good post and would like to take this opportunity in order to resolve the same kind confusion going into colleague minds and need practical advice on his further studies. He wanted to do MBA from SCDL (distance course) but unable to decide because he was graduate in science (B.Sc.) and having more than 5 years of experience in BPO industries.

1. A gazetted officer is one whose name is notified in Gazette. That is all the point. Once he retires his name is removed from the Gazette therefore he ceases to be a Gazetted Officer.
2. The gazetted officer is expected to verify and certify the document as true copy.
3. He does not have duty to perform to sign the certified true copy.
4. Therefore, be polite, ask him to sign the document as true copy. No one should ordinarily refuse to sign.
