Dear Raghu,
For safety professionals green colour indicates soothening and soft and easily identifiable. There is no other law or reason. It is indifferent and at the same time internationally green colour is used to communicate safety & show safety etc...........

Dear Raghu,
This is typical mentality, to show the superiority or indifferent etc......No other reason, but in my view everyone from EHS professionals from bottom to top should wear green helmet inresepective of their grades.......Uniformity should be maintained.
To bring the discipline & unformity we have live by setting example beginning from self.......

Hi all,
Nice discussion.
Infact colour coding is done to identify different catagories of employee as discussed. It gives us advantage of identifiying new person on shopfloor as is he a visito?, or EHS guy? or first aid like this.
One more advantage during any kind of emergencies or accident we can identify rescue team, first aid team & can approch them immediately for help instead of searching for persons.
We use
Red:fire fighting & rescue team
Green :EHS
White :Visitors
Yellow:Contractors
Blue:Company Employees.

Why To use Green by Safety (EHS) Pro :
1. Green is the color of nature. It is the most restful color for the human
eye . Green, as opposed to red ( danger ) , means safety ( which you
can observe it for traffic , rail signal system etc )
2. Green is directly related to nature, so it is used to promote
'green' ( Green chemistry , green poduct etc. ) . In my view EHS pro are Brand ambassdor of organizations who works to ensure zero harm to environment & lives .
