The comments of the different people are displaying the cultures that they have been exposed to while growing up and what beliefs that they have formed. The culture of the organization where the two affected parties are working will be the determining factor if otherwise the productivity of the two hasn't been affected because of their dalliances.
If the culture of the organization--I am not talking about what the rule book says, often the two are not same--determines the course of action that the administration decides to take and the way they would like to handle it.
HR should first make out the prevalent culture and then decide the next step.

Dear Friend,
She may be an hard worker but from the side of company reputation, company should not entertain such activities in company premises. HR department shall call her and warn her not to behave like that inside the company if not controlled HR can issue a letter.

Hi,
very delicate and sesitive issue. Needs to be handled very carefully. Any amount of loose handling will ruin her family. If there are such rumours and if it is coming in the way of maintaining discipline and polluting office atmosphere, call her and have a confidential discussion, if need be warn her orally. From the discussion, if anything adverse comes out, take an undertaking that she will not give scope for making such comments against her.

Dear Sir
This is right that the management do not have any right to interfare their personnel life but as you say envirement polluted than you can make warning them from Managing Director, if no positive response than you can issue them chargesheet regarding polluted and performance basis only
but first you should intimaite all respective seniour and discuss about this metter.

Hi Sari,

I am Maneesh, Not very frequent at giving comments on many subjects but i felt that i must give a suggestion to u regarding this subject.

1. As per your description no one is sure abt the affair., its only rumour mongering in the employees - this could be just a pleasure gossip making fun rounds.

2. We are talking only about the woman in picture her performance is good and so on .. wht abt the guy?

3. As Ravi shankar had said if they r romancing inthe office it is the managements concern to take action against them but if they r normal at office then no body has any business to interefere into anybody's personal lives. No person is clean inthis world, barring a small percentage, every one has issues moral or immoral only until they come to knowledge of known others who bring the issues to light else they escape this "immoral" attitude.

We all must learn to live in a broader light of all such aspects unless and untill this is a open affair. Behind the doors no person has any right to punish or counsell them not to do such things.

first of all either of them will not agree to this so alled affair at all

pls do think over it

Dear Sari,
I agree with Mangesh's point of view. Each person has his own needs...we are no one to be judgemental about them. Unless its affecting the organization, its not upto us to interfere.
May be you can give them subtle hints about the gossip and point out that it might affect the work environment. As long as they are being proffessional in the office, i think there's no say.

Ohmigosh!
Look at all the holier-than-thou attitudes and posts!!! Arent we in HR supposed to be unbiased and act like glue & not get ouselves involved in petty 'grapevine' & sprout lectures on ethics, morals....
WHO/WHAT gives us the right??
This so-called 'moral' query has got so many hits which goes on to prove how very keen we are in scandals, gossips & personal lives of our associates....Doesnt this go against the grain??
