Medical leaves in insurance company/bank - company says we do not have medical leaves

Sir/mam, I am working in an insurance company field sales but was on duty when I got into an accident due to which I was on leave as the doctor asked me for bed rest.
My company says we do not have medical leaves. They asked me to apply for general leave. Please help me with how can I have medical leaves and my salary for that.

Since you have been in the role of sales promotion and the accident has occured while on duty, the employer is bound to grant you leave, medical expenses reimbursement and even partial disability benefits as per Employees Compensation Act. Please proceed legally.
