BADRI RANGARAJ
Festival Greetings. One of my friends is having 5 EPF member IDs (i.e., worked before 2013) and two UANs. These two UANs have merged and are unable to transfer (online or offline) old member IDs due to improper data of member details. How to transfer the old member IDs into new UAN or how to rectify it.
Pl suggest.

As per the rules, a person should only have one UAN throughout his lifetime. An employee’s EPF account is linked to his UAN. In case you have been assigned two UANs, you have to get the previous one deactivated. If you want to transfer the old member ID then you can request it online and it will take some time to transfer it. I would recommend you to consult any of the private PF consultants to easy down the process. I had consulted one called PFHelpdesk for a name correction procedure.
You can check them put here at www.pfhelpdesk.com
