Hi Experts,
My brother was working in a Software Co, 3 years back. Now he is working in another Co. He wants to withdraw PF amount accumulated from his Old Co, will he be able to do it.
He doesnt have any touch with the old Co, and i suppose they need some id or number from old co.
In this case, how do we go about doing it. Will he get the amount , he is not sure about how to get the amount.
Kindly let us know the formalities to be done.
Thank you...
very much

Dear Veggi,
To with draw PF your brother needs PF account no. HICH WAS ALLOTTED BY THE EMPLOYER WHILE YOUR BROTHER IS IN SERVICE WITH THAT EMPLOYER.
To with draw he has to submit FORM 19 under the PF Act 1952.
BETTER TO GET TRANSFER THE PF ACCUMULATIONS TO THE NEW EMPLOYER IF HE IS WORKING.
If he is not having his PF account no. he has to ask his past employer for the no.
If he is not giving he may lodge a complaint to the respective PF office.

Dear Friend,
Your brother can withdraw or transfer the PF amount to new organization.
For withdrawl Form 19 and Form 10C
For Transfer Form 13A(Revisede)
(Above are Old Procedure before introducing the e-Return by the PF)
Now PF has introduced the e-Return procedure, under this procedure the Forms are different. Tell your brother to contact the concerned PF Regional Office for necessary Forms.
Regarding your query for PF Account Number, he can get the same on his Payslip which was provided by the employer. While withdrawl or transfer NSSN number is required. If it is applied, now apply.

HI,
For your brother to withdraw his PF. He can do the following:
Ask your Bro to go to his previous co and inform them that he wants to withdraw his PF. the HR dept generally has withdrawal forms with them. Ensure that he fills 2 forms form 19 and Form 10c, as one is for PF and other for pension withdrawal.
the details like PF ac no, place or trust with whom the co was maintaining PF can be obtained from the HR dept itself, also ensure that your brother mentions the complete and correct address of the bank where he wants the money to be transferred along with the accurate bank Account NO.
Your bro can submit the filled in forms with the HR and they should get it processed for his, as company's generally have their own PF consultants, who do this kind of work for them.
Please do get in touch for any further assistance.
Thanks
