Hello everyone,
I am facing challenges in managing the working shifts as there are 3 shifts which running in my company:
1) Morning shift 6:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m
2) Evening shift 3:00 p.m to 11:00 p.m
3) General Shift 9:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m
so the issue is the employees of second shift facing travelling problem if they want to travel on working day they have to apply for half day or leave because the transport facility runs till 10:30 p.m at night.
please guide me how i resolve this issue.

Hi,
Please see if you can introduce Permission system so that for employees who are traveling they may be given 1-2 hrs permission so that they can start their travel from office.
Also look at the option of revising the second shift timing to 2 pm to 10 pm. However first and second shift lapping time, system availability issue if any to be addressed.

Hi,
Take a analysis for past 6 months. What is the percentage of employees availing half a day leave for travel purpose? If the percentage is on the higher side then you need to re work on your shift timings. If the percentage is negligible then just leave it.
Other alternative is that for employees traveling for that particular day of travel change their shirt to first shift or General shift ( subject to feasibility, technical Heads to approve).
