----"Gurugram District Authority under SHWW Act 2013 Seeks Explanantion from Defaulting Employers"----
--- An Eye Opener For All Employers, Heads of Human Resource and Management Professionals--
A Press Report of 1st Nov 2018 says that 3,000 Gurugram based Establishments came under Administrative Scanner of the State Govt Authority and that District Local Committee sought / is seeking Explanantions from the Employers/ Head of Institutions as to WHY they Failed to Comply with the Provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act 2013, inter alia , Compulsory/Mandatory Filing of the Annual Report under Section-21 of the aforesaid Act of 2013 under the Signature of the respective Presiding Officer of the Internal Committee constituted under Section-4 by the Employers of Establishments employing Ten (10) and More Workers/ Men-on-Roll.
The SHWW (P,P &R) Act 2013 came into force on and from 9.12.2013 and apply to Every Employer of Every/each Workplace including the Residences where a Woman is employed/engaged to carry out Household work/jobs.
The said Report mentions that the the reported Action at the behest of the Local Committee is in the wake of MeToo Campaign.
This Serves as An Eye Opener, rather a Warning, a Jolt, as it were For All such Employers, Heads of Human Resource and Management Professionals who failed to Implement the Provisions of the the "Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act 2013" and the Rules framed there under and gazetted on 9.12.2013.
