Dear Friends,
Hi!!
We are an Engineering company providing Turnkey solutions to our clients. WE have an employee strength of 13. Are we eligible to go in for EPF? What is the minimum employee strength required to go in for EPF?
Also we are planning to take up an insurance policy for our site engineers
We checked out WC Policy, Group Personal Accident Policy and also Personal Accident cover. But different insurance agents have a diiferent view of WC Policy. Some say that engineers are'nt eligible for WC some say that enginners can be covered. Can somebody help me out.
Regards

Hi Tittli..
To get registered with the PF department the minimum number of employee should be 20.
Every employer of an establishment to which the Employee Provident Fund Act applies, should submit in Form 5A(in duplicate) to the commisioner, particulars of all the branches and departments, owners, directors, partners if any or any other person who is controlling its affair within 15 days of its applicability of the scheme.
On receipt of Form 5A, the commisioner shall verify the particulars submitted and after been satisfied shall allot an Establishment Code No.
Hope it must have given some inputs to you..
Regards,
Amit Seth.
