DEAR ALL,
I AM WORKING FOR A PVT LTD. COMPANY AND I AM WITHDRAWING RS.16500 IN HAND. THE ONLY DEDUCTION WHICH IS SHOWN IN MY PAY SLIP IS OF ESI i.e. 1.73%. IS IT REALLY A MANDETORY OF PF DEDUCTION OR IS IT OK WITH IT. AS I PLANNING TO SWITCH TO OTHER COMPANY AND I AM BIT CONFUSED WITH THE SALARY DEDUCTION PORTION.
PLESAE HELP ME GUIDE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

PF is for the emplyoees drawing upto 65oo.But those who are above can also avail the facility of pf,but it is not mandatory.ESI is for employees drawing 1500 total gross salary. regards, Amte v.

If Inder_4u has not become a member of PF in his present employment, he need not contribute for PF - assuming that his pay coming under coverage - Basic/DA etc is more than Rs.6500. If his take home pay is 16500, perhaps he need not pay ESI also. If his pay has just been increased from <15000 to > 15000, he will continue to pay ESI till the completion of the six month contribution period.
