Dear All,
Labour Officer is asking to submit the Standing Orders for his approval. We have no Unions in our Industry. Whether the Industrial Standing Orders apply to all the Companies where there are no Unions. Suppose if we have a HR Policy will it suffice. Is it mandatory on the part of Industrial establishments to get such HR policy approved by the Labour Department. Are there any case laws on this issue.
We will be thankful for your advise.

For certification of Standing Orders Trade Union involvement is not mandatory. It can be signed by some representative employees and the employer. In fact, having a certified Standing Orders is always good as it gives more clarity to many things especially those relating to industrial relations. Therefore, get it done.
