Dear All,
Last time you seniors supported me by giving guidelines to strengthen the recruitment process ....
Again the same normal trend repeated, one of top Senior guy didn't turned up on DOJ after accepting the offer.....
(as he got hold back by his current company)
Now, my management is asking me to shoot a mail to candidate with a cc copy to his organization ....is this worth doing ?
(the reason is - top managment had decided some business plans since the candidate didn't joined...all got postponed)
My prospective - Offer letter is a not a legal document & by giving a mail to his current org. he might be in trouble...
Please through some light on this ...
Cheers
kevina
Note : My company offer letter clearly states that - if the candidate didnot turned up on the DOJ, the offer letter stands invalid & withdrawn.

well dear kevina, your offer letter states that if candidate doesnt turn up the offer is treated as invalid, but when he didnt turn up u are thinking of shooting a mail to his current orgsn,, this is contradictory to whats written in offer letter, if candidate doesnt turn up on DOJ then it is understood that if he tomorrow comes and asks for joining u will not give so same applies to u too...
next point is what will u achieve by shooting mail to his orgsn,, as his orgsn HR must be aware of his offer letter from ur company and must have given him a better counter offer, his HR will just ignore ur email, or it might be that that senior person joined some 3rd company.
what i suggest is forget what has happened and forgive the candidate, it takes great guns to forgive.

Greetings from GroupHR!!!
Your problem seems to be ever lasting ( not in the manner of sarcasm but empathy). I still remember your last post about this this problem.
Shooting a mail to candidate's present organization is a strict no in corporate culture. The reasons
1. First of all, you can not force anybody to join. It is candidate's own sweet will.
2. Such an attempt will show that your organization is badly dependent on this particular candidate and if the candidate is articulate enough he can actually take a mileage out of this by showing it to other people around him. Your purpose will not be served.
3. Since the candidate is a senior guy, he may badmouth about your organization. You never know from where the next candidate will come, he/she may be a close associate of this person.
Hope it helps.

Dear Kevina,
Joining in the company or leaving the company both of the thing is common rights you cannot treat him as anything for your top management. Your have posting against the human rights as you are a HR you have to know about the empathy about your employee or employer but you don't know about it I think so. Please treat other human's as beings don't try to threatened him for your Top Management.
