Can someone inform me how many number of mandatory leaves are to be given to employees working under Karnataka Shops & Establishment act.
Kindly inform about PL, CL and Medical Leaves.

Dear Gauli.Nitin, Form "U" is the combined Annual Return, under S&CE Act. The same shall serve the purpose of Contact Labour Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act & Maternity Benefit Act.

Your question regarding leave can be answered as follows:
Leave with wages in S&CE Act is, where an employee is eligible for 1 Leave with wages after every 20 working days in case of adult, 1 day every 15 days in case of young person. For more information refer: S&CE Act-Chapter IV.

Hi Arpita
As per act an employee will be eligible for following leaves
Earned / paid Leave - 1 day leave for every 20 working days, which will be credited to leave account in next calendar year. Leave calculation period will be calendar year.
Casual Leave - 12 days leave per annum
Both the leaves are calculated on pro-rata basis.
