Dear Friends,
In todays scenario the crisis that we face.. each moment is that of TIME MANAGEMENT!!!...
We are always in a fix to know the best utilization of our time, to bring more efficiency at work.
I have attached a PPT slide of the 4 quadrants that we are in with regards to TIME MANAGEMENT.
My comments on them are as under:
The 1st quadrant is a set of URGENT & IMPORTANT tasks. In this quadrant a person is also under tremendous pressure, and irritated. All the work is urgent and also important, so there is possibility of error under pressure of completing the task.
The 2nd Quadrant is that of NON URGENT but IMPORTANT tasks. In this quadrant a person is at ease, relaxed and can do the important task much more efficiently as there is no pressure and time constant. These tasks may include routine reports etc.
The 3rd Quadrant is a set of URGENT but NON IMPORTANT tasks. This quadrant includes tasks which may not be important but cannot be avoided. They may cause interruptions and delay in the important task, which need to be attended.
The 4the Quadrant is a set of NON URGENT & NON IMPORTANT tasks. This quadrant includes those tasks and activities which are nor relevant to the work, nor important. They can infect be called time wasters instead. They delay all your important and urgent work as you may not be able to prioritize the tasks properly.
CONCLUSION: Every person is best suited in the 2nd Quadrant , as he / she is in a relaxed state of mind, and can do his job with better efficiency. He/ She is not under stress, so will remain healthy also.
REFLECTION: Judge yourself, and see which quadrant your activities best fit into… analyse them, so that you are the time managers and not wasters.
